Bahamas Swimming Pigs: Your Unforgettable Exuma Encounter

We had a blast with the pigs! The weather was perfect that day and the boat ride to and from the island was terrific. The water is gorgeous and the experience was fun. They provided lunch that was a Bahamian style feast. They had excellent service. The staff was very friendly. The only thing I didn't like was that they advertised the use of snorkel equipment and paddle boards, which were nowhere to be found. Otherwise we had a glorious day.

Wonderful experience! Highly, highly, highly recommend. We stopped in Nassau as part of our cruise trip and decided to book last minute. The boat ride was quick and fun, and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The beach was everything I dreamed of—beautiful turquoise water, soft white sand, calm waves, intimate, and not overcrowded. Lunch was a delicious hot meal, not just an old wrapped sandwich. The pigs were so much fun, and my 2-year-old loved it! It was the highlight of our entire trip—worth every penny!

I went to The Bahamas to see PITBULL, this was last minute adventure, that ended up being my favorite part of the trip! :)

Gigi and team was very nice and accommodating. Just would have liked a little more time with the pigs. I hope they do not live in cages and are treated well, some concerns on this.

It was an ADVENTURE. It is well thought through. The Virgin beach, the Pigs, Food n Services are on POINT. It is a MUST for any tourist !!!!A+

We had such a fun time hanging out with the pigs. It’s a short boat ride to the area, you get to spend about 20 minutes with the pigs, and they feed you a nice lunch (better than our resort food). Staff were friendly and of course the piggies were a cuteness overload.

Easy travel on the boat. Food was good. The pigs were friendly. Easy instructions to feed them. Friendly staff.

Overall this was a wonderful experience for my family and I. We were picked up from Atlantis right on time and the driver Levin was kind. Lady G met us at the docks and informed us of how to fill out our forms and directed us to the boat, she was kind as well. The boat ride to Rose Island where the pigs are was rough due to the choppy waters but the ride back was very smooth. The pigs were cute and my daughter really enjoyed feeding them and holding the baby. She would have liked more time with the pigs which were out interacting for about 20/25 minutes. That was more than enough time for me because I was not fond of the smell. It was a cool experience and my daughter has been dying to get there so I’m glad we did it. The food was pretty good but could have used more seasoning. There was bbq chicken, fried fish, rice and beans, plantains, Mac and cheese, veggies, and salad. They do not skimp on the servings which is nice. The beach area is beautiful and after the pig poop clears out it was wonderful swimming there. They have some great photo opportunities as well with swings in the water and a beautiful view. All of the people running things were pleasant and you could tell they enjoyed what they did! The woman who made and served the food was so sweet and checked on all of the tables. Very hospitable and welcoming. The guys handling the pigs and sharing instructions were clearly having a good time and cared for the animals. I’d say my only real disappointment was that there were no paddle boards and scuba gear as promised in the description when booking. My husband was not at all into the pigs and was really only looking forward to using the gear promised. We also didn’t get to see any turtles but I am assuming that only happens when the weather permits, it did rain some and the water was choppy so I’m assuming that is why no mention of them was made. I also did not ask. As far as the price, I expected the cost so it wasn’t too bad. I was able to use a Viator coupon code and get $50 off. I ended up paying $405 for 3 people including transportation and lunch, so about $135 per person. All in all it was a great experience and I’m glad we did it for our daughter who loves pigs. If I were to go again, I’d want more time with the baby pigs, more seasoning on the food, and to be provided with the scuba and paddle boarding gear.
